This three credit course focuses on the characteristics of successful teacher leaders and ways that all classroom teachers can cultivate these characteristics and improve their leadership skills. The featured experts who provide commentary for this course include Dr. Ann Lieberman, Tom Malarkey, and Dr. Tony Smith.

The WEA Academy recommends that educators enroll and take this course with other colleagues and educators they work with. Collaboration is an important component in professional learning for educators, and since this is an independent learning course, cohort learning is ideal for this situation.
For successful completion of this course, you will earn three graduate credits through the University Outreach Professional Development Department at Cardinal Stritch University. The course may be completed where and when it’s best for you in a self-paced, independent online study format. Work at your own pace, and finish the class within a 17-week deadline. Regular tuition is $450 for each course which includes all materials; however, WEAC members receive an additional $100 discount for each course for a final tuition rate of $350/course.
