WORKING WITH ELL STUDENTS IN THE MAINSTREAM CLASSROOM (CEDUC 631)
Working with ELLs in the Mainstream Classroom will provide K-12 teachers with the knowledge of how to best work with non-native English speakers in their classrooms. This course will empower teachers to understand language development and develop best practice strategies to reach all learners.
The student will be able to:

Demonstrate an understanding of different learning styles and apply this knowledge to current pedagogical practice

Integrate ELL terminology and English Language Proficiency Standards into current course content

Modify course curriculum to best meet the needs of students acquiring English
- Facilitate instructional strategies in their classrooms to model best teacher practice

Develop classroom assessment processes that incorporate content knowledge and English Language Proficiency Standards
This is an online course instructed by a Wisconsin ELL teacher and WEAC member.
