Course Overview

This course will cover in broad view, the history development of the American labor movement and working class from the Colonial Period through early 21st century. It will serve as both an introduction to the field of Labor History and timely primary and secondary sources available to teachers and students. As participants become familiar with the field, they will construct lesson plans for their respective teaching assignments. The participants will use the online collaborative environment to discuss the history of the labor movement and develop their lesson plans.
